Hey it’s Ray! You’ve been asking … and patiently waiting … and asking some more … and I finally have an update …
We just released takeover weeks for the first half of 2026!
As you know, we have a new host on our Instagram account every week. They share their side of Akron, giving us a glimpse into the life of a fellow Akronite. From taking us behind the scenes at their job to giving a tour of their neighborhood, and sharing stories of growing up in Akron or their trajectory to recently moving here, our weekly hosts inspire us to be better neighbors, support local entrepreneurs, and open our eyes to what’s been around us all along.
But here’s the catch — most hosts, if not all of them, don’t go into their week of hosting with a plan to inspire and make a difference. Through sharing their personal stories, it just organically happens.
Some folks have been hesitant to sign up, assuming their posts would be too boring. But after a wee bit of gentle coercing, they sign up, and when the time comes, they share surprisingly brilliant content that resonates with much of the EA community.
It’s been incredible to witness hundreds of Akronites generously share their lives and experiences over the past decade of running Everyday Akron. And I hope you’ll join in.
