A mini history lesson about Akron, Ohio
The Mustill Store, built in the mid-1800s along the Ohio & Erie Canal, served as a general store and rest stop for canal boat crews and travelers. The store was a hub of activity during Akron’s canal era, offering goods and services to those navigating the vital waterway.

Today, the restored Mustill Store is a museum and interpretive center, giving visitors a glimpse into life during Akron’s canal days. Its location makes it a must-visit for history and nature enthusiasts alike — especially if you're hiking or biking along the Towpath Trail.
